Question by Christina · May 05, 2015 at 01:32 AM · driver update

If our company would like to update our drivers, must we perform the "Unit Test" ?

Our company would like to update our drivers from IVI-2003 to IVI-2014 in the Driver Registry. In the editing page, there is "compliance file". The following are my questions about the contents in this file:

1. If we want to update our drivers, must we perform the "Unit Test"?

2.Should the "unit test" be performed by our company and we only need to submit the testing results to IVI foundation? Or should we provide the driver installation package to IVI foundation and the IVI foundatation is responsible for performing the "unit test"?

Thank you in advance:-)

Yes, your company must perform all testing. The IVI Foundation does not perform testing for companies that ship IVI drivers. Note there are pretty stringent and detailed testing requirements in IVI-2014.

Hope this helps.

Thank you so much for your answer. So you mean that the "unit test" should be performed by our company and we only need to submit the results to IVI foundation?or the "unit test" should be performed by our company and we only need to fill in the contents about the unit test in the compliance file?

Thank you in advance. :-)
